[True to his word, Jean stepped out on the roof a few minutes after he'd texted. He returned Lio's almost-wave, then adjusted his grip on the blanket wrapped around him. It was a soft, fleece thing with moons and animals printed all over it in bright colors. Not really his sort of thing, but he'd needed one and it had been cheap.
He took a spot next to Lio, leaning against the railing, and lit up, waiting until after his first long exhale to speak.]
